Christmas Day [Dec. 25th, 2005|12:03 pm]
Its been awhile since I did an update. Not much has been going on other than work. Insane, busy, crazy, lots to do, etc kind of work. Who am I kidding, I love it.

Christmas Day. I came down to my parents, in St. Joseph, on Christmas Eve. Went to lunch with my two sisters, then shopping, then chilled at the parents place, then back to my older sisters for dinner with her and my brother-in-law, followed by playing for the 10pm Candle Light Service at St. Pauls. Shew, what a day.

This morning I had to play for church in Eau Claire. Now I'm back at my parents, awaiting the food, gifts and family. Oh yeah, and I've got a couple bottles of liquor on hand for when the family starts to get on my nerves. Haha.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas. I'll be back in Kalamazoo later tonight. Then I've got the day off on Monday.

Till then...

And there was morning and evening... the 5th day. [Dec. 8th, 2005|08:18 pm]
I have no clue where that subject line just came from.
Let's see, it is snowing out. I hate winter. But, like most people, I will grin and bare it.

This week has flown. Last week was pretty good. I had a holiday party on Thursday, Dec 1. About 30 or 35 friends showed up. It was fun. I wish we would have had more food, but not alot of people brought stuff. And for those reading this who know me -- sorry. I said I would provide desserts, which I did. But still, people were here from about 6pm till around 12:30am. Then I kicked the last of them out.

Things got wild a couple times. I have the "Position of the Day" book, and people decided to start acting out the positions drawn in the book. There were pictures taken, but they didn't turn out that well.

Around the time I was kicking everyone out, Drew got home. We chatted till about 2:30am. I sure was tired the next day when I got up for work.

The weekend flew by. Went to a holiday concert at Miller to see WMU's Grand Chorus and Symphony. It was a great. I went with Prescott, Tony and Lyndon. A good time for sure.

Work was alright this week. A lot is going on, projects and crazy stuff. I'm keeping my head above the water, but it is a bit tough some days. I'm thankful that I have tomorrow off (Dec 9).

I'm supposed to go to Chicago this Saturday with my mom, aunt and cousin. That should be a good time. We'll just go in for the day (shop, eat lunch, see the city decorated and lit). Sunday I think we are celebrating my mom and older sisters birthdays. Then back into another work week.

Well, I'm gonna split. Let the roommates dog outside, throw in some laundry, etc.

2am and I'm writing this song... [Dec. 1st, 2005|12:12 am]
Ok, I'm not writing a song. That line is from a song. Anyway.

What a long day. Work was insane - I was in meetings all day except a 20 minute lunch. Went from work to a board meeting for the University Theatre Guild. Errands, dinner, store, etc.

I started making my brownies, bread and dip for the holiday party around 7:30pm. Finished around 11pm.
Oh yeah, in case I didn't mention - I'm throwing a holiday party. This is my first. I plan to make it an annual thing.

Well, time to throw in a movie and pass out in bed. I've got a long day at work tomorrow already planned. Yippie. Haha.

Monday Monday..... so good to me [Nov. 28th, 2005|07:12 pm]
After a busy weekend, here I sit. I went to St. Joseph on Saturday (to play for church on Sunday). Spent the afternoon with my younger brother & sister doing some shopping (even though none of us bought anything). That lasted all of 2 hours, because St. Joe and Benton Harbor suck. Oh well. Had dinner with Dad, Tash and Chris at Pizza Hut, followed by a movie and then bed.

Played for church Sunday morning. Services went well. After second service I helped my mom learn how to use the internet. She'll get the hang of it, I'm sure. She just needs practice.

Sunday evening I met Prescott, Topher and Sandy at Burdicks. They ate dinner while I had a drink. The conversation was good. I'm glad they called. Its nice to get out of the house for random dinner/drinks with people. I guess I just like being out and about.

Monday morning came too quick, I tell ya. I slept through my alarm yet again. UGH. I'm always on time for work though, so my internal alarm clock must be somewhat functioning. LOL.

Just got home from a long day at work (more overtime without the overtime pay). Had dinner and now I'm debating -- do I go to the coffee shop and take some work, or do I waste my night way on my bed with my laptop? Just not sure....

Damn the snow... [Nov. 24th, 2005|10:31 am]
[Current Mood | calm]

Thanksgiving Day has come. I'm still not sure where the year has gone, but for right now I don't care - I'm ready for some turkey. But damn the snow, because my parents, siblings and brother-in-law have decided not to come up because the weather is too bad, roads are risky, etc. Interestingly enough, I talked to a friend who just traveled from Kalamazoo to St. Joe and she says is fine, a little windy but not that bad. Oh well.

Dinner with the extended family isn't until 1pm, so I've got hours to kill. Hence why I started this live journal...needed something to do to fill my time. Maybe I'll finish unpacking my room (for those that know me you probably know I recently moved in with a buddy off West Main St). I hate moving, such a pain. One day I'll hire someone to pack it all, move it and unpack it again. That would be heaven.

Enough for now.... gonna throw in a movie and bum around a bit.

Later...
